Story Time

Our story times are held every other Wednesday at 5:30pm and Friday at 10:30am for ages 2-5.  These hour long programs consists of songs, stories, activities and crafts based on a theme.  All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Special Events

A pumpkin a day means Halloween is on its way! Join us as get into the Halloween spirit with a lots of fun activities for the whole family! We’ll be carving pumpkins, making crafts and end it with a fun party.

Mother Goose Club

Created by a mother of four and former teacher, Mother Goose Club makes classic nursery rhymes accessible to a modern, global audience. Designed with current curricula and recent research in mind, the live action and animated videos and songs feature six colorful characters and engaging content that promotes pre-literacy in a fun way. Airing on local PBS stations since 2009, Mother Goose Club has grown to become a multimedia resource, with a website that delivers learning tools and entertaining videos, and a YouTube channel that’s garnered more than one billion views.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Dolly Parton Imagination Library applications are available at the circulation desk of the library. Children ages 0 – 5 may participate in this program. Each child receives one age appropriate book per month until the program ends when they turn six. The children must be a resident of Clay County. This program is sponsored by The Clay County Public Library, Clay County Early Childhood Council, Promise Neighborhood and Memorial Hospital.
